The year is winding down and it has been enjoyable driving around Tybee at night seeing our beautiful Christmas lights. Tybee is cheerfully welcoming to everyone this time of year.
It has been a good year for Tybee. The island enjoyed a busy spring and summer season.
We enjoyed the lighting of the Christmas tree onStrand, carolers, the music, seeing Santa and Mrs. Claus during this festive night. The young dancers were especially joyful to watch. They were talented and so excited to show their beautiful routines.
Many friends on Tybee are finding ways to enjoy the season. Lannie and I have attended a few very nice Christmas parties. We thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas boat parade and party at The Crab Shack.
Our bookings for Oceanfront Cottage Rentals, LLC are good for New Year’s. The famous fireworks and related festivities are a huge draw for our small island.
The Polar Bear Plunge on New Year’s Day is going to be so much fun. Remember to wear your bathing cap so that Tybee can win the Guinness Book of Records for most bathing caps worn during this event.
Here are a few photos from the boat parade and some Christmas decorations that we saw around Tybee.
Lannie and I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and safe New Year.
With best wishes from Stacye and Lannie Jarrell (The Oceanfront elves wish you a great year!)
